Materials

  • Pink tissue paper (soft and easy to find)
  • Clear glass jars (any size will do)
  • Mod Podge or white craft glue (optional)
  • Paintbrush (for applying glue)
  • LED tea lights (safe and long-lasting)
  • Scissors (for cutting)
  • String or twine (for hanging, optional)

Instructions

  • Start by cutting the pink tissue paper into various shapes, like squares or circles. Allow the movement of your scissors to feel light and playful.
  • Paint a layer of Mod Podge or white glue on the outside of your glass jar. Notice the smooth, cool feeling of the brush gliding over the glass.
  • Carefully apply your pink paper pieces onto the glued surface, overlapping them if desired. Feel the texture as you press them into place, ensuring a snug fit.
  • Continue layering until the jar is covered. Allow the sight of colors blending to calm your mind. Each piece finds its place like a puzzle coming together.
  • After the glue has dried, place your LED tea light inside the jar. Feel the warmth of the light as it begins to shine through the tissue paper.
  • If using, tie string or twine around the top of the jar for hanging or decorative flair. The gentle knotting should feel secure yet tender, reflecting your care in the process.
