Materials for Lantern
- 1 piece A clean, empty milk jug (or similar plastic container)
- 1 bottle Clear-drying craft glue Easily found at any craft store.
- several sheets Colored tissue paper or lightweight colored plastic
- 1 pair Scissors
- 1 piece Optional: A small LED tealight or candle for illumination Ensure safety if using with real candles.
- 1 piece Paintbrush For applying glue efficiently.
Instructions
Preparation
- Thoroughly clean the milk jug to remove any residue.
- Use scissors to cut the colored tissue paper or lightweight plastic into small squares or triangles.
Assembly
- Apply a thin layer of clear glue onto a section of the milk jug.
- Place the cut pieces of tissue paper onto the glue, overlapping them slightly for a mosaic effect.
- Continue applying glue and adding pieces until the desired design covers the jug.
Finishing
- Allow the glue to dry completely, which may take a couple of hours.
- If using an LED tealight, place it inside the finished lantern.
