Materials

  • Clear resin or epoxy
  • Glitter (preferably blue or green)
  • Silicone mold (in sea creature shapes)
  • Glow-in-the-dark powder
  • Mixing cups and sticks
  • Protective gloves
  • Soft cloth for cleaning
  • Optional: Small seashells or beads for decoration

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Work Area: Make sure your work surface is clean and covered to protect it from spills. Gather all materials for easy access.
  • Mix the Resin: In a mixing cup, combine the resin and hardener according to the instructions on the package. Stir gently until well mixed, ensuring no bubbles form.
  • Add Glitter and Glow Powder: Once the resin is mixed, incorporate your chosen glitter and glow-in-the-dark powder. Mix thoroughly but slowly to maintain clarity in the resin.
  • Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the mixture into your silicone mold. Fill each crevice to ensure even distribution. If you like, you can add small seashells or beads for a decorative touch.
  • Let It Cure: Allow the resin to cure for the time specified by the manufacturer. This can take several hours to a full day, depending on the type of resin used.
  • Demold Your Creations: Once fully cured, gently remove the resin creatures from the molds. Take your time to avoid any breakage.
  • Finishing Touches: Use the soft cloth to clean the edges. If desired, you can further embellish your creations with additional paint or decorative elements.
