Instructions
Preparation
- Inflate the balloon to your desired size, tie it securely, and place it on your workspace.
- In a small bowl, mix equal parts liquid school glue and water to create your adhesive for the tissue paper.
- Cut or tear the colored tissue paper into small squares.
Application
- Using the paintbrush, dip it into the glue mixture and smooth one tissue paper square onto the balloon.
- Repeat this process, overlapping each piece slightly until the balloon is covered.
Drying & Finishing
- Allow the decorated balloon to dry completely, typically taking a few hours.
- Carefully pop the balloon and remove it from the tissue paper shell.
- Place the battery-operated tea light inside the lantern.
- Find a cozy spot in your home to showcase your glowing fish lantern.
