Instructions
Preparation and Shaping
- Begin by cutting an egg carton in half lengthwise. You will use one half for multiple turtles.
- Cut out sections to form the turtle body and head from the carton. Usually, the rounded sections work best for the body.
Painting
- Using your chosen acrylic paints, apply a base color to the turtle shell. This could be green or any creative color that speaks to you.
- Once dry, paint spots or patterns on the shell. Consider using sponges or smaller brushes for texture.
Adding Features
- Attach googly eyes or buttons with glue to create the turtle's face. Let each piece dry thoroughly.
- Use markers to draw details on the legs and tail. You can also glue on fabric scraps or add glitter for a whimsical touch.
