Materials
- Fresh or dried flower petals (bright colors work best)
- Clear contact paper or transparent adhesive sheets
- Scissors
- Acrylic paint (optional, for additional decoration)
- String or ribbon for hanging (optional)
Instructions
- Start by picking your flower petals, focusing on vibrant colors and interesting shapes. Feel their texture and notice their scent.
- Cut out a piece of contact paper that's large enough for your design. Remove the backing carefully as it can be sticky.
- Lay the contact paper sticky side up on a flat surface. This will be your canvas.
- Arrange the flower petals on the sticky paper, creating patterns or designs that bring you joy.
- If desired, paint some of the petals with a thin layer of acrylic paint to enhance their colors.
- Once you are satisfied with your arrangement, carefully place another piece of contact paper over the top to seal the petals. Press down gently to eliminate any air bubbles.
- Trim the edges of the contact paper, leaving a small border for support.
- Use a punch or scissors to create a hole at the top if you wish to hang your suncatcher. Attach a string or ribbon for easy hanging.
