Rainbow Kitten Bubble-Foam Science Lab

Materials

For the Bubble Mixture

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp dish soap
  • 5 colors Rainbow washable paint (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
  • 1 bottle Clear pink washable paint
  • 1 bottle Clear blue washable paint

For Equipment

  • 1 Mixer or whisk
  • 5 Bowls
  • 5 Kitten cutouts (craft supplies only, not edible)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Divide the water and dish soap between several bowls, providing enough bowls for a separate color in each.
  • Add a different rainbow color to each bowl.
  • Whip each mixture with a mixer or whisk until thick foam forms.
  • Spoon the foam into a tray, creating rainbow bands.
  • Add waterproof kitten cutouts and allow kids to explore the bubbles and color mixing.

Tips & Notes:

If the foam doesn't rise as expected, whip the mixture longer or use fresh dish soap. To preserve color vibrancy, use fewer colors in one spot.
