- Shape the colorful pipe cleaners into a pencil, twisting and shaping them to resemble a vibrant pencil.
- With adult supervision, dissolve the 9 tbsp of Borax in 3 cups of hot water in the heat-safe jar. Stir well until the Borax is fully dissolved and the solution is clear.
- Tie the pipe cleaner pencil to a stick using the string. Suspend it in the jar without touching the bottom to ensure full immersion in the Borax solution.
- Leave the setup overnight for crystal formation as the water evaporates.
- In the morning, carefully remove the pencil from the jar to reveal the sparkling pencil crystals.

Tips & Notes:
If crystals do not form properly, ensure that the solution is well mixed and allow enough time for evaporation overnight. Display the crystals away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
