Preparation
- Shape your colored pipe cleaners into a dragonfly form, ensuring the wings are wide.
Create the Solution
- In a pot, mix about two cups of water with a cup of clear borax. Heat the solution until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
Cool the Solution
- Once the borax is fully dissolved, remove the pot from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Add Your Dragonfly
- Carefully place your shaped pipe cleaner dragonfly into the borax solution, ensuring the wings are submerged and the body is suspended.
Let It Sit
- Allow the dragonfly to sit in the solution overnight, preferably for 24 hours.
Remove and Dry
- Gently remove your ornament from the solution and allow it to dry completely.
Display Your Ornament
- Attach string to your dragonfly for hanging in a sunny spot.
