- 1 sheet Clear plastic sheet Easily found at craft stores.
- 1 template Dragonfly template Downloadable or drawn by hand.
- 1 roll Iridescent cellophane or film Available from craft outlets.
- 20 pieces Acrylic gems For added sparkle.
- 3 colors Purple, blue, and pink translucent paint Or use your favorite colors.
- 1 bottle Glue Any general craft glue will do.
- 1 length Fishing line For hanging the ornament.
Instructions
Preparation
- Cut out the dragonfly shape from your clear plastic sheet using your template as a guide.
- Brush on colors to the dragonfly’s wings with translucent paint, creating your desired pattern.
- Cut small pieces of iridescent cellophane and layer them over the painted wings.
- Dot your design with acrylic gems and attach them with glue.
- Allow your creation to dry completely in a sunny spot.
- Once dry, cut a piece of fishing line and attach it to the top of the dragonfly for hanging.
