Materials

  • Transparency sheets: Easy to find at craft stores.
  • Glow-in-the-dark pigment powder: This is what makes your flowers glow.
  • Water-based adhesives: For a smooth application.
  • Natural flowers or flower prints: You can use real flowers if you prefer a natural look.
  • Scissors: To shape your flowers.
  • A clean workspace: Creating in a designated area can enhance your focus.

Instructions

  • Start by gathering all your materials on a clean, flat surface. Take a moment to enjoy the colors and textures before beginning.
  • Choose the natural flowers or flower prints you want to use for your project. If using real flowers, consider pressing them first to preserve their shape.
  • Cut the transparency sheets into flower shapes, allowing for some variation in size and petal shape for uniqueness.
  • Mix the glow-in-the-dark pigment powder with the water-based adhesive until you achieve a smooth consistency. This mixture will be your flower's enchanting glow.
  • Apply a layer of the glowing mixture onto one side of the transparency flowers. Allow it to dry completely before turning them over.
  • Once dry, gently peel off any adhesive that may have seeped out. This will clean up the edges and enhance their appearance.
  • Assemble the flowers by layering different sized transparency petals and secure them with more adhesive.
  • Display your glowing flowers in a soft light setting and watch them illuminate as darkness falls.
