Materials

1 bottle 1 clear bottle Clear bottle to showcase the colorful display
1 cup 1 cup vegetable oil Vegetable oil creates a shiny layer
1/3 cup 1/3 cup water Water will be colored and sink through the oil
As needed Rainbow food coloring Choose your favorite bright color
As needed Clear pink glitter Adds sparkle to the project
As needed Clear blue glitter Adds sparkle to the project
As needed Pencil confetti For a fun twist
1 tablet 1 effervescent tablet Creates the bubbling lava effect

Instructions

Preparation

Fill most of the bottle with vegetable oil, leaving space at the top.
In a separate cup, mix the water with food coloring and pour it into the bottle.
Add the clear pink and blue glitter, plus some pencil confetti.
Drop in a part of the effervescent tablet and observe the bubbles rising and falling.
Enjoy the display as the colorful bubbles dance through the bottle.

Tips & Notes:

The lava effect lasts about 10 to 15 minutes. Adjust oil and water levels if bubbles don’t rise as expected. Use warm soapy water to clean the bottle after use.
