- 1/2 cup Borax Facilitates crystal growth.
- 2 cups Hot water To dissolve borax.
- 1 piece Jar To hold the solution.
- a few drops Blue food coloring To add color to crystals.
- 2 pieces String For suspending the starfish.
- 1 piece Pencil To suspend the string.
Instructions
Preparation
- Shape the pipe cleaners into small starfish.
- Dissolve the borax in hot water and add a few drops of blue food coloring.
- Suspend the starfish in the solution overnight, ensuring they don't touch the jar sides.
- In the morning, carefully remove them and let them dry.
