  • 6 Pipe cleaners in rainbow colors
  • 1 cup Borax
  • 1 jar Boiling water
  • 2 pieces Jars For suspending the pipe cleaners in borax solution.
  • 1 string String For suspending the shapes.
  • 1 pencil Pencils For holding the strings and shapes in place.

Instructions

Preparing the Shapes

  • Shape the pipe cleaners into small teardrops or rainbows, ensuring the shapes are well-defined.

Making the Borax Solution

  • In a jar, dissolve Borax in boiling water until fully mixed. Stir until all granules disappear.

Suspending the Shapes

  • Carefully suspend each shape in the solution. Use a pencil across the jar to hold the string and shape in place.

Waiting for Crystals to Form

  • Leave the shapes in the solution overnight to allow crystals to form.

Final Steps

  • Remove the shapes from the solution and let them dry on a paper towel. Once dry, hang them in a sunny window.
