  • 1 sheet Clear plastic sheet
  • 1 template Butterfly template
  • 6 colors Translucent paint in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple Choose rainbow colors
  • 1 bottle Clear glue
  • some Acrylic gems For decoration
  • 1 length Fishing line To hang the suncatcher

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut out the butterfly using the butterfly template from the clear plastic, ensuring smooth edges.
  • Fill in each wing section with different colors of translucent paint, allowing the colors to blend.
  • Attach acrylic gems along the edges of the butterfly's wings with clear glue.
  • Let the butterfly dry completely for a few hours until paint no longer feels tacky.

Finishing

  • Create a small hole at the top of the butterfly and thread fishing line through it.
  • Hang the butterfly in a sunny window, ensuring it catches sunlight effectively.

Tips & Notes:

If the wings look streaky, apply thinner layers of paint in future attempts. Ensure gems are applied evenly and the glue is fully dried.
