Materials

  • Red, white, and blue candies (M&M's, gummies, or sprinkles)
  • A clear glass jar
  • Decorative ribbon or twine (optional)

Instructions

  • Start with a strong first layer. Add red candies to the bottom of the jar.
  • Add a white candy layer on top of the red layer. Gently level it.
  • Add a blue candy layer next. Make sure it sits evenly.
  • Repeat red, white, and blue layers until the jar is filled. Pack gently but do not crush the candies.
  • Tie a ribbon or twine around the jar neck if you like a finished look.
  • Place the jar where everyone can enjoy it as a simple centerpiece.
