- 1 jar Clear jar with a lid
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- a few drops Gel food coloring in blue and green
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or powder
- Small decorative shells and sand (optional)
- 1 Spoon and mixing bowl
- 1 Funnel

- Ensure your jar is clean and dry before beginning.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of sugar and stir until fully dissolved.
- Divide the sugar water mixture into two containers, adding blue food coloring to one and green to the other, stirring well.
- Mix in the glow-in-the-dark paint or powder into one of the colored liquids.
- Using a funnel, carefully pour the blue liquid into the bottom of the jar, followed by the green liquid to create layers.
- Optionally, sprinkle decorative shells or sand on top of the layers.
- Seal the jar with its lid and place it under a light source for at least 30 minutes to charge.
- Once charged, turn off the lights and enjoy the glow from your creation.
